Job Summary
We are seeking a Network Sales Support Specialist with proven AT&T CalNet experience and a strong background supporting California state and other public‑sector state contracts. This role serves as a technical and process resource for the sales organization, bridging customer requirements with network design, implementation knowledge, and contract compliance. The ideal candidate brings hands‑on experience with network technologies, understands public‑sector procurement processes, and thrives in a customer‑facing, solution‑driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Public Sector Support
- Act as a primary sales support resource for CalNet and other California state/public‑sector contracts
- Support account teams with RFP/RFQ responses, contract documentation, compliance reviews, and pricing coordination
- Provide subject‑matter expertise on state contract requirements, terms, and service offerings
- Collaborate with sales to develop compliant, scalable network solutions aligned to CalNet standards
Technical & Solution Support
- Serve as a technical resource for network‑based solutions, including WAN, LAN, MPLS, SD‑WAN, cloud connectivity, and security
- Assist in network design reviews, solution validation, and technical documentation
- Translate customer requirements into technical designs and service configurations
- Support solution feasibility, implementation planning, and service transitions
Process & Implementation Knowledge
- Provide guidance on implementation processes, provisioning workflows, and service delivery best practices
- Coordinate with ABS’s sales team, provisioning, project management, and operations teams
- Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance customer experience and sales efficiency
- Support post‑sale handoff to implementation teams to ensure solution accuracy and readiness
Customer & Internal Collaboration
- Participate in customer meetings as a technical and contract resource
- Clearly articulate technical solutions to non‑technical stakeholders
- Maintain strong working relationships with internal teams across sales, engineering, and operations
- Assist with issue escalation and resolution related to technical or contract matters
Required Qualifications
- Direct experience supporting CalNet contracts (required)
- Experience working with California state and larger public‑sector customers
- Strong understanding of network technologies (WAN, LAN, SD‑WAN, MPLS, cloud, security)
- Knowledge of creating network design via Visio.
- Knowledge of network design principles and implementation concepts
- Familiarity with public‑sector procurement processes (RFPs, contract vehicles, compliance)
- Ability to communicate complex technical solutions clearly
- Strong organizational, documentation, and cross‑functional coordination skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting telecom or managed network services
- Previous role in sales engineering, sales support, or technical account support
- Understanding of service delivery and implementation lifecycles
- Experience working with carriers, system integrators, or government service providers
